Pauline Turner (Burnett) – A Life of Service and Dedication
Legacy, Leadership, and Lifting Others
Family is central to my life; being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother brings me lasting joy and defines my legacy.
My roots are in Caroline County, where I attended public schools before pursuing higher education at community college, majoring in data processing and information systems technology. This academic foundation launched me into a rewarding 30-year career in information technology. I dedicated two decades to Best Product (MIS) and Life of Virginia/GE Capital/Genworth, followed by another ten years of professional growth and service.
Throughout my career journey, I progressed from development technician to team leader, supervisor, and manager, continually embracing new challenges and leadership opportunities in the IT field. My commitment to service extended beyond the workplace, as I took on the role of community service coordinator volunteer at Genworth.
Life presented its own trials, and I embraced the role of caregiver for my mother for several years that deeply shaped my perspective. After her passing, I sought healing and purpose through community volunteerism, focusing my energy on supporting the homeless and underserved. During this period, I was inspired to embark on a new path, beginning real estate classes as a way to channel my grief into meaningful action and to assist others in securing stable homes. In 2006, I earned my realtor license and began working part-time with Commonwealth Realty, as well as managing family properties.
In 2013, I retired from Genworth Financial but continued my part-time real estate work. I remain passionate about uplifting those living in poverty or substandard conditions. Today, my mission is to provide guidance and hope for individuals seeking a place to call home, serving as a Realtor with B. Allen Realty. My journey is guided by a steadfast belief in the power of compassion, community, and the enduring importance of helping others thrive.
